Let’s explore a fruit crisp guide! Because let’s face it, being in the kitchen and nourishing ourselves is an essential part of staying balanced.
When we made the commitment to plant-based in our home, we did not go sugar-free. Embracing the sweet taste is actually very nourishing as explained through Ayurveda- through not in the eat refined sugar and starches everyday way. It is so amazing to come home to smell the berries cooking in the oven. And they do benefit from a bit of sugar and starch to thicken it.
Share this recipe with friends who would like to have the option to create in the kitchen and the best thing about it, is that it can be easily modified to eat with the berries that you have. Please note that I forgot to put in the cooking time! You can cook this at 375-400 for 30-45 minutes. In this video, you can see the fruit mixture boiling as it heatss up. That is what is needed.
I find having the sweet taste that feels good and familiar actually sets the tone for a deeper and more fulfilling life. And when we started baking from scratch a vast world of flavors and color began to open up.
