Are planning a vegan/plant-based Easter and your family usually has that one meat dish… maybe even a traditional one with all the feels. Here are some ways to navigate through the holiday this year. This post has three ideas in it. I know I am not supposed to do that (LOL)
1. Learn about cyanotypes…. this is a blue paper that is light sensitive. You can put botanical elements on the paper and, when exposed to the sun, the area with plants will turn white, and paper will stay blue (available on Amazon and local art stores) Great substitute for dying eggs which I do miss doing. So many creative options. 2. Incorporate seasonal options – this time of year in Phoenix lavender is in bloom (and I do have at least 4 more lavender recipes coming 😍), and making a fresh spice blend can be fun!
Herbes de Provence has been a favorite in our home for years. And like curries, can be varied for your unique palate. SO many great ways to blend these flavors. Hop in my stories to see a trip mom and I took to France many years ago!
3. Be compassionate to others who may not be making the same food choices as you; however, it is also okay to defer eating things that no longer appeal to you. It may also be valid to pause from plant-based eating to connect with family. The journey is yours alone and feeling guilt and shame is very counterproductive to health a d healing. I am sending lots of love to you this holiday.🦋

Here are some places you can enjoy: * Roasting Veggies – reword those older recipes that you grew up with * Tofu Scramble – brings it up a notch. * Mix with olive oil and dip bread into it (sooo good.. add dash salt too) * Add to homemade bread (incredible pizza dough) * Mix with plant-based cheeses (I love almond chèvre)
