Come on a visit to San Francisco with me! As you may recall the quote, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t look around once in a while you could miss it.” It is a voice that echoes inside every Gen X mid-lifer’s psyche from the movie, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Above all, I have been taking time to observe life around me in more depth and figure out what I actually enjoy doing.
When I travel, I love to see doorways…. they are such evocative invitations. However, this doorway is in SF Pacific Heights really spurred my imagination. What did it take for someone to have a home like this? Was it worth the journey.
Underneath our grind to achieve there are lingering questions?
What are we missing?
What are we working for
Where is all “this” going?
I ask these questions in more depth when I travel.
How do you balance that feeling that life is moving pretty fast?
To clarify, I had a chance this summer to hop away to San Francisco probably one of my favorite cities in the US. I just loved this visit. Firstly, I got to tour around, see incredible sites, and even have a sunny day without fog in the summer. If you know you know. 🤣
Secondly, this shop in the Mission was filled with so many treasures! I could hardly believe how many local makers filled the shelves. Meanwhile, check out this great list of stores to search for in San Francisco.
In conclusion, you can more about my overall journey here.
In conclusion, I know for myself mindfulness is a key part of answering these questions. Taking pause in the daily routine and push to be in the next place can be so helpful. Noticing nature around us. My San Francisco visit really reminded me of things that I love to explore.
How do you answer these questions? Here are some sights from my journey!
